IIPM Bangalore PG Students Explore Bio Pest & Disease Control at ABTEC.

A group of 32 PG students from the Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM), Bangalore visited ABTEC Innovation Centre on 28th January 2026 to gain deeper insights into the biological control of pests and diseases and their practical applications in plantation and agricultural systems. The visit included an interactive session with ABTEC Managing Director Bibin Jacob and Research Head Dr. Hemand Aravind, who explained ABTEC’s research driven approach to developing sustainable, biology-based solutions and translating innovation into field ready products. Students actively engaged in discussions on biocontrol strategies, research methodologies and emerging opportunities in sustainable agriculture. The visit proved to be a valuable learning experience, strengthening academia industry collaboration.
