Industrial Visit to ABTEC under BIOE3 Internship 2026

As part of the BIOE3 Internship 2026 in the field of Bio Entrepreneurship (Biotechnology for Economy, Environment & Employment), organized by BIIC, Mahatma Gandhi University, an industrial visit for the participants was arranged at ABTEC Innovation Centre on 15th May.

During the visit, team ABTEC organized two highly informative and interactive sessions for the participants. The first session focused on “How to Become an Entrepreneur”, where the students were introduced to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, innovation driven business development, leadership qualities, risk management and the importance of identifying market opportunities in the bio and sustainability sectors. The session also highlighted the journey of transforming ideas into successful enterprises and inspired the participants to explore entrepreneurship as a career pathway.

The second session provided detailed insights into the “Organizational Setup and Functioning of a Company.” Participants were given an understanding of how a professionally managed organization operates, including various departments, management hierarchy, research and development activities, production systems, quality assurance, marketing strategies and customer engagement practices. The session aimed to familiarize students with real-time industrial operations and corporate work culture. In addition, ABTEC shared valuable insights into the development of green and sustainable solutions for next generation products. The discussions emphasized the importance of eco-friendly innovations, green chemistry approaches, sustainable agricultural inputs and environmentally responsible product development practices. Participants were also introduced to the growing significance of biotechnology in creating sustainable solutions that contribute to economic growth, environmental protection and future employment opportunities
