Plant Details
Pineapple is a tropical fruit known for its sweet and tangy flavor. It thrives in warm, sunny climates with temperatures between 20–30°C and grows best in well-drained, slightly acidic sandy loam soil. Pineapple plants require minimal water once established but benefit from regular fertilization. The fruit is consumed fresh, canned, or juiced and is a key ingredient in desserts and savory dishes. Rich in vitamin C, bromelain, and antioxidants, pineapple promotes digestion and supports immune health. It is typically harvested 18–24 months after planting, and proper care, such as mulching and weed control, enhances yield. Pineapple is a significant export crop, contributing to the economies of tropical regions worldwide.
