Plant Details
Bananas are tropical fruits known for their soft, sweet flesh and high nutritional value. They grow best in warm, humid climates with temperatures between 20–30°C and require fertile, well-drained loamy soil. Banana plants are fast-growing and require consistent watering and nutrient-rich fertilizers for optimal yields. The fruit is consumed fresh, dried, or processed into chips, desserts, and beverages. Rich in potassium, vitamins, and fiber, bananas support heart health and digestion. The plant’s leaves and stems are also used for packaging, animal feed, and handicrafts. Harvesting occurs 8–12 months after planting, and the plants are pruned after fruiting to encourage new growth. Bananas are a staple food and a major export crop globally.
