Plant Details

Carrots are root vegetables prized for their sweet flavor and nutritional value. They thrive in cool climates with temperatures between 16–21°C and require deep, well-drained, sandy loam soil. Carrots are sown directly in the field and mature within 90 days. They are consumed fresh, cooked, or processed into juices and baby foods. Rich in beta-carotene, fiber, and vitamins A and K, carrots promote eye health, digestion, and overall wellness. The crop requires consistent watering and weed management for optimal root development. Carrots are widely grown in temperate and subtropical regions and are a significant commercial crop due to their high demand and diverse culinary uses.
