Jackfruit is the largest tree-borne fruit globally, growing up to 35 kg. It flourishes in tropical climates with temperatures ranging from 24–32°C and well-drained loamy or sandy soil. Jackfruit trees are drought-tolerant and can thrive in marginal soils. The fruit is consumed in various forms: ripe as a dessert, raw in curries, and dried or processed into chips. Rich in dietary fiber, vitamins A, C, and B-complex, it aids digestion and supports overall health. The wood is used for furniture, while the seeds are edible and nutritious.
