Plant Details

Mango, often called the “king of fruits,” is celebrated for its sweet, juicy flavor and high nutritional value. It thrives in warm, tropical climates with temperatures between 24–30°C and requires well-drained loamy or alluvial soil. Mango trees are drought-tolerant and require moderate watering and regular fertilization. The fruit is consumed fresh, in juices, pickles, and desserts, and is processed into dried mango and jams. Rich in vitamins A and C, as well as antioxidants, mango supports eye health and immunity. The trees begin bearing fruit within 4–6 years and can produce for decades with proper care. Mango cultivation is a major agricultural activity in countries like India, contributing significantly to their economies.
